Our Story: From Concept to Award-Winning Design
ClipHut originated from an idea born in a time of change. Our initial goal was to create accommodations for refugees using our modular timber construction system – quickly, flexibly, and sustainably. A system that is not only easy to assemble but can also be reused after its initial use. Each component should have a second, third, or even fourth use, fully embracing resource conservation and longevity.
Then came the pandemic, presenting us all with new challenges. Like many others, we needed a partition for our home offices and discovered the potential of using our construction system on a smaller scale as a flexible room solution. This led to the creation of the ClipHut shelving system: a modular piece of furniture that fits into any home, adapts to the needs of its users, and promotes the idea of sustainability. What began as an aid project has evolved into an award-winning design that creates new space in many homes – always flexible and always with a view to a better future.
